Think we are being ripped off?

Had the same problem but i got a bill for �2250 for 2 weeks and I'm on a token meter the meter had packed up and they put a new 1 in but when they came to read it 2 weeks later they had no record of the new meter been fitted so they took the reading from the new meter and the last reading they had from the old 1 and tried charging me . has the meter been changed in the last 3 months? if so that might be the problem . I'm 3 bed roomed with 2 kids and i only pay about �40 a month on a token meter
