The sims 2/nightlife help?

I have the sims 2 and since i broke the cd and could not find a replacement i got nightlife instead.. i had the problem with my custom content but its resolved now.. but im still having problems like i have this thing a called spawn/memory manager.. also i cant use the teen whoo hoo hack that i have anymore. i want to uninstall the nightlife and go back to just the normal sims 2, but im worried that i might loose the family's i created in nightlife?
