I am having a problem with my hoover 1200 washing machine, does everything except wash, any ideas.?

Check pump,filter,sometimes if there is something preventing pump fins from turning it can even fail motor action,check there is water both hot and cold up to machine,possable module failure,is it a mechanical timer,is it rectified when you advance it.Or is it a digital timer,locate module and see if any component has blown or tracking. On newer machines modules can even break down if there is a fault with the interlock or pump
