you are allowed to do your own thing when you want to. if she gets demanding about her thing you say " well if it means that much to you, to do what YOU want .......AGAIN, then you guys go ahead but i am still going to do [my thing] . anyone who wants to join me is welcome, otherwise i will catch you all later.
