Alcohol K of molecular formula C3H80 shows a negative result with the triiodomethane test....?

K reacts with KMnO4 to give L ( C3H60). L can be heated with K in the presence of sulphuric acid (concentrated) to yield M (C6H1202).. What are the structures of K,L and M and why are they so?
